Around the farmstay

The main characteristic of the farm is its geographical position and very convenient road links; it is situated in the heart of the Abruzzo, the “green zone of Europe”; it is the ideal starting point to reach, in ten minutes’ drive, several interesting zones, both from the naturalistic point of view than from a cultural and historic reading; for this reason, itineraries and leaflets showing the most characteristic place to visit are available on the farm site. Indeed, in a few minutes you can reach the most beautiful vales of the National Park “Majella-Morrone”; in half an hour you can get to the National Park of “Gran Sasso -Laga”, and in an hour you are at the National Park of “Abruzzo”. A ten-minute drive will take you to the important thermal station of Popoli. In the winter you can go skiing on the Majella (45 minutes to reach the skiing plants and skilifts).
All around there are characteristic villages, and in about 20 minutes by car you can see the old historic centre (Roman and medioeval) of Sulmona which boasts the most interesting monuments in the region. In 30 minutes by motorway, you can reach the big commercial centre of the city of Pescara (provincial capital -150.000 inhabitants) with its long sandy beaches. The nearest village with services is 3 Km. away and the hospital just ten minute drive. To reach Rome it takes about one and a half hours (185 Km. by motorway), while 20 minutes to the international airport of Pescara (with directed flights from several European capitals).
